Started my morning slow with a big iced coffee — because no good summer day starts without one. The kids were buzzing with excitement, knowing they were off to Hurricane Harbor with their grandparents and cousin. They barely let me get their towels together before they were out the door, already planning which water rides to hit first.

By the time we were ready to head out to get the rest of our day going they were soaked, happy, and full of stories about slides, waves, and “the best lazy river ever.” We all gathered around to celebrate Poppop’s birthday with cake — the kids sang loud, icing ended up everywhere, and he couldn’t stop smiling.
The night wrapped up perfectly with a little night swimming at their other cousins’ house. Pool lights glowing, laughter echoing, kids splashing under the stars… one of those summer nights you just don’t want to end.
